evaluating headspace

Recently did a headspace budgeting exercise in an effort to organize my thoughts (ultimately as a way to organize my feelings) by way of presenting a goal headspace to strive towards. Naturally, started creating categories of possible thoughts that could make up a headspace.

Seems like these days:

Ideally, more like:

Thought categories:

TypeDescription
Wishfulfantasizing certain futures, delusional as opposed to visionary
Pityself-pity, justifying reasons to be sad for yourself <- ultimately a way of preserving the ego
Regretsreplaying cringe/embarrassing moments, implicitly building resentment against myself for certain decisions, self doubt which arises from those regretful decisions (ie “I’m not what I could’ve been”)
Worriesanxiety, paranoia about the future, being fixated on negative potential futures, outcomes, consequences
Distractionshobbies, media, music, content, possibly food
Thoughtsproductive, meaningful thinking, “pre-thinking” certain questions and scenarios, actively and constructively thinking of nouns inspired by circumstance (ie academic material, work, friends, relationships), living thematically, focusing on certain and new aspects of life at a natural time
Aspirationsworking vision, future planning, hopes, that which is being focused on, opposite of despair
